Homework Assignments to Complete

1) What is Yin Yoga to you? How does your Yin/Restorative differ from other forms of yoga (vinyasa, slow flow, power flow, sculpt, etc…)?

2) How would you get your students into legs up the wall? How might you assist someone who is unable to create that shape?

3) What breath practices might you use to down-regulate someone’s nervous system?

4) What is recovery? When would active recovery be more beneficial than passive and vice versa?

5) How would you neutralize your student after a 5-minute supported fish hold? After neutralizing, how would you counter this pose/is it necessary?

6) We discussed many topics we consider “spokes in the wheel” throughout this training. What, if any, adjacent fields piqued your interest? How could you use it to bolster your Yin Yoga teaching?
